Elysium Machines
Before Elysium, there were the machines. 4,444 terminals, built for a chain that did not exist yet, powered down and left to wait in the dark.
Elysium is coming online, and the machines are waking up. The first ones switch on Friday, November 6, at 15:00 UTC. Each one stirs when someone holds a whole token. The ones that are consecrated light up for good and start farming HYPE. Their ticker is $MACHINE.
How the machines work, where the HYPE comes from, and how to verify every claim on this page yourself.
- Join the whitelist on the main page.
- At launch, buy $MACHINE from the one canonical pool. Every whole token materializes a dark machine in your wallet.
- Consecrate a machine to burn its token. It lights up for good and starts farming HYPE.
- Claim HYPE from lit machines whenever you like.
Current status #
Ticker: $MACHINE. Fair launch: Friday, November 6, 15:00 UTC. Contracts are being finalized; every address will be published in Verify It Yourself before trading opens.
The short version #
$MACHINE is an ERC-404 token with 4,444 units, trading through one canonical $MACHINE/HYPE pool on Elysium. Hold a whole token and a dark machine appears in your wallet. Sell below a whole token and that machine dissolves back into circulation.
Consecrate a machine and its token is burned. The machine becomes a permanent NFT, its screen lights up, and from that moment it farms HYPE. The token supply shrinks with every consecration. The fee stream it farms from does not.
Every buy and sell pays a 3% fee, enforced by the token itself. 2% of all volume flows to lit machines in HYPE and 1% funds the team. NFT royalties feed the same reward pool.
Glossary #
All terms
- Dark machine
- A machine backed by 1.0 liquid $MACHINE. It trades with the token, can dissolve, can reroll, and earns nothing.
- Lit machine
- A consecrated machine. Its backing token is burned, it is a permanent NFT, and it is the only state that farms HYPE. Its screen lights up.
- Consecrate
- Burning the token behind a machine you own. One way, permanent.
- Materialize
- When your balance crosses up through a whole unit, a machine is drawn from the unclaimed pool into your wallet.
- Dissolve
- When your balance drops below a whole unit, your most recent dark machine returns to the pool.
- Reroll
- Dissolve and materialize again to draw a different random machine.
- Generation
- Machine model: Mainframe, Ticker, Temple, Pocket or Colossus. Rarer generations carry more reward weight.
- Reward pool
- The single HYPE pool that every lit machine farms from. Fed by trading fees and NFT royalties.
- Epoch
- One distribution of the queued HYPE to lit machines by weight.
- Canonical pool
- The one $MACHINE/HYPE pool the token settles through. Other pools cannot trade it.
A fair launch, through the token #
There is no NFT mint page and no presale. The launch happens through the token. All 4,444 units are seeded along a price curve into the one canonical $MACHINE/HYPE pool, and that liquidity is locked for good: no one, the team included, can pull it. Everyone buys from the same pool on the same curve. Buying a whole token is how you mint a machine.
| Allocation | Units | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Canonical pool at launch | 4,444 | 100% |
| Presale / private round | 0 | 0% |
| Team allocation | 0 | 0% |
How to get a machine #
- Join the whitelist on the main page before launch: follow, like, quote, and submit your wallet.
- At launch, open the exchange and buy at least 1.0 $MACHINE with HYPE from the canonical pool.
- A dark machine materializes in your wallet. Its generation is drawn at random from the unclaimed pool.
- Keep it dark and trade it, reroll it, or consecrate it to farm HYPE.
Five generations, one hall #
Every machine is drawn by code: a minimal isometric terminal with its own casing, keys, screen and phosphor. Rarer generations carry more reward weight once lit. Click a card to see it lit.

ERC-404, live #
The token and the NFT are one asset. Your whole-number balance is your number of dark machines. Move the slider to buy and sell, and watch machines materialize and dissolve.
The reroll #
Dark machines are draws, not fixed assignments. When your balance crosses down through a whole unit, your newest dark machine dissolves. When it crosses back up, a new one is drawn at random from what the pool holds. Sell 0.1 and buy it back, and you hold a different machine. The odds are the live pool composition, which anyone can read onchain.
function _draw(address account) internal returns (uint256 id) { uint256 position = uint256(keccak256(abi.encodePacked( block.prevrandao, block.timestamp, block.number, account, ++_drawNonce ))) % poolSize; id = _slotValue(position); _removePoolPosition(position, id); // lazy Fisher–Yates over unclaimed ids }
$MACHINE farms HYPE #
HYPE is the native asset of Elysium: it pays gas and it is what the canonical pool trades against. The fee is taken in HYPE inside each swap, so rewards need no conversion step. They reach lit machines as HYPE.
HYPE is the first reward. Tokenized stocks on Elysium come next, with different machines earning different stocks.
Two streams feed one reward pool: 2% of all trading volume and 4% of every NFT sale. Every lit machine farms from that pool by its generation weight.
Where every HYPE goes #
The base fee is 3% of the HYPE side of every swap, taken by the hook inside the swap. The pool's own LP fee is zero; the protocol fee replaces it. The split is fixed in the fee library.
| Stream | Of the 3% fee | Of volume |
|---|---|---|
| HYPE to lit machines | 66.67% | 2.0000% |
| Team | 33.33% | 1.0000% |
uint256 internal constant BASE_FEE_BPS = 300; // 3% uint256 internal constant REWARD_BPS = 200; // 2% of volume, HYPE to lit machines uint256 internal constant TEAM_BPS = 100; // 1% of volume
Royalties feed the same pool #
Machines are a separate ERC-721 mirror with enforced creator earnings of 5% on compatible marketplaces. 4% goes to the HYPE reward pool for lit machines and 1% to the team. Wallet-to-wallet transfers you start yourself always pass and pay nothing.
Reward epochs #
Fees and royalties queue in the reward pot as HYPE. An epoch distributes the queue to every lit machine by weight. A machine earns from the epoch after it was consecrated, and its unclaimed HYPE stays with it when the NFT changes hands.
Yield estimator #
Move the sliders to see how the reward pool splits across lit machines. Fewer lit machines means a bigger share each. More volume means a bigger pool.
Consecrating #
Dark machines trade, reroll and earn nothing. Consecrating burns the single $MACHINE behind a machine you own. In exchange it becomes a permanent NFT that can never dissolve, its screen lights up, and it starts farming HYPE. There is no function in any contract that reverses it.
function consecrate(uint256 id) external { if (_ownerOf[id] != msg.sender) revert NotMachineOwner(); if (isLit[id]) revert AlreadyLit(); if (balanceOf[msg.sender] < UNIT) revert InsufficientBalance(); balanceOf[msg.sender] -= UNIT; totalSupply -= UNIT; // real supply reduction emit Transfer(msg.sender, address(0), UNIT); _removeDark(msg.sender, id); isLit[id] = true; // never unset, anywhere totalLit += 1; mirror.clearApproval(msg.sender, id); emit Consecrated(id, msg.sender); rewards.onConsecrate(id, msg.sender); }
The 4,444 invariant #
Every unit is always in one of two states: liquid (a token that trades and rerolls) or lit (an NFT that farms). Consecrating moves a unit from the trading side to the earning side. Liquid tokens plus lit machines always equal 4,444.
/// Liquid tokens plus lit machines: always 4,444. function economicUnits() external view returns (uint256) { return totalSupply + totalLit * UNIT; }
The routing lock #
The supported market is one registered $MACHINE/HYPE pool reached through an immutable canonical router, and the lock lives in the token. Every v4-style pool settles through the same pool manager, so an address allowlist cannot tell our pool from a copy. The token treats the pool manager as locked by default, and our hook unlocks it one swap at a time.
How the per-swap authorization works
During each swap through the registered pool, the hook writes a settlement allowance into the token, bound to that swap's direction and amount and stored in transient storage so it cannot outlive the transaction. A rogue pool runs without our hook, so no allowance is written and its settlement reverts. It cannot even be seeded.
Pairs that never touch the pool manager are refused by contract codehash, which can only target contract code, never a wallet. Ordinary wallet-to-wallet transfers always work.
Verify it yourself #
Which generation each id is and its art are fixed before launch and committed onchain as an assignment hash. Re-run the published generator with the seed and you get the same collection, byte for byte.

FAQ #
Is the launch really fair?
Yes. All 4,444 units are seeded along a price curve into one locked pool. There is no presale, no private round and no team allocation.
How do I get whitelisted?
On the main page: follow, like and quote the launch post, then submit your X handle, wallet and quote link.
What do lit machines earn?
HYPE: 2% of all trading volume plus 4% of every NFT sale, shared across lit machines by generation weight. Tokenized stocks come next.
Is consecrating staking?
No. Staking implies a position you can unwind. Consecrating destroys the token permanently; you keep the lit machine and its share of future HYPE.
Can I pick which machine I get?
Not by buying, draws are random. You can buy a specific machine on secondary markets or reroll by cycling your balance through a whole unit.
If I sell my token, what happens to my machine?
Dark machines dissolve newest-first as your balance crosses down through whole units. Lit machines are untouched by token movement.
Do rewards keep accruing if I never claim?
Yes. Claiming only moves the accrued HYPE out. Unclaimed HYPE stays with the machine if it is sold, so buyers should check pending rewards at execution.
